Salzburg's oldest brewery, founded in 1475, is still brewing exclusively from local raw materials and by hand.
Guided by Braustern, the brewers' guild sign, the small team around master brewer Dr. Günther Seeleitner adheres to traditional recipes, refines them and creates its own varieties.
In addition to various creative beers, these include the two main varieties available all year round - Kaltenhauser Kellerbier and Kaltenhauser Original - genuine natural beer specialities from the Tennengau region. At the meeting place of beer culture, the brewing process can be experienced from grain to glass. You'll learn about the most common Austrian and international types of beer and from which glasses they are best drunk. Sniff the typical beer flavours at the sensory stations and find out which beer harmonises with which dishes or how to create a perfectly tapped beer. A small tasting of the current Limited Editions is of course also not to be missed. Afterwards, let us spoil you in the traditional brewery inn!

If only we could preserve the current weather for a few days! But one of the oldest proverbs says panta rhei (everything is in a state of flux), and this particularly applies to the weather in Central Europe! After the sunshine of yesterday, the weather will deteriorate again. The cloud will gradually thicken and snow showers will arrive by evening.

Thursday, bands of clouds will still cover the sky and produce a few snowflakes. On Friday, high pressure will return to us!
