Barrier-free and child-friendly museum project in the stable of the Pehab Inn in Ramsau Ort.
The main themes are the development of tourism in the region, the unique emergence and preservation of the Protestant faith in the Catholic Habsburg Empire, i.e. the time of the Reformation, Counter-Reformation and Secret Protestantism, and of course the Dachstein, its origin, development and exploration. The subject of hunting and its history is dealt with in detail in a special permanent exhibition. Temporary special exhibitions from various social fields round off the visitor experience. Interactive installations, historical objects, photos and films let you guess, experience, guess and discover the special features of Ramsau.
The "little" guests are accompanied through the museum by the mascot "Klaus the Mouse". The museum shop in the entrance hall offers historical and current regional literature, photos and films about Ramsau and the Dachstein, handicraft souvenirs and regional products.
Special exhibition 2021 The special exhibition "Time Window" shows in pictures and text the massive changes in the way of life and appearance of Ramsau am Dachstein over the last 100 years. Time windows" in the landscape of Ramsau am Dachstein complement the special exhibition.
