Step into the magical world of puppets.

In the princely cellars of Hohensalzburg Fortress you will find the museum, where visitors can view many historical marionettes from the famous Salzburg Marionette Theatre. Here you will find not only the figures from Sound of Music, but also Papageno and Papagena from Mozart's Magic Flute. Exhibits from various European and Asian countries can also be admired here. If you want, you can try yourself as a puppeteer and bring the small figures under your hands to life.
