Experience the unique atmosphere at the very place where the world-famous song "Silent Night! Holy Night!" was sung for the very first time!
The modest, deliberately simple chapel is visited every year by guests from all over the world.
It was consecrated in 1937 after twelve years of construction; it was financed only by donations and stands on the spot where St. Nicola's Church once stood.
In this church, on 24 December 1818, "Silent Night! Holy Night!" was sung for the first time in this church and from there it made its way around the world.
The two windows in the chapel show the song creators Joseph Mohr and Franz Xaver Gruber.

If only we could preserve the current weather for a few days! But one of the oldest proverbs says panta rhei (everything is in a state of flux), and this particularly applies to the weather in Central Europe! After the sunshine of yesterday, the weather will deteriorate again. The cloud will gradually thicken and snow showers will arrive by evening.

Thursday, bands of clouds will still cover the sky and produce a few snowflakes. On Friday, high pressure will return to us!
