Visit the oldest salt mine in the world.
In 1735, the body of a prehistoric miner, the "man in the salt", preserved by the salt, was found inside the mountain. Families in protective clothing follow his footsteps on a journey through the Hallstatt Salt Worlds.
View the seven shimmering salt crystals and hear the primordial sea roar before sliding down the 64-metre-long and thus longest wooden miner's slide in Europe. From there, visitors reach the 1400 m² underground salt lake, made even more mysterious by the special lighting and mystical sounds. The children experience their own adventure in the "dwarf factory", where they make the sound staircase resound.
