The modern Hohe Tauern National Park Centre is located in Mittersill, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region.
There are eight different National Park Worlds here, where you can admire, among other things, the 1,800 km² adventure world around the Grossglockner and another 266 three-thousand-metre peaks as well as over 342 glaciers. Let yourself be carried away on an eagle flight as you glide over the impressive landscapes, valleys and peaks. The marmot burrow, which you can crawl into to visit the marmot family, is particularly popular with children.
Whether it's a 3D adventure cinema showing a crash of the continents in slow motion or a 360° projection with surround sound, where you finally stand in the middle of waterfalls and rushing avalanches, you will never be bored in the Hohe Tauern National Park.
You can also visit the glacier world and turn the time wheel to see the development and melting of the Pasterze in fast motion or be amazed in the mountain forest gallery. Other National Park Worlds include Tauern Treasures, Alpine Life and Wild Water.

If only we could preserve the current weather for a few days!
