Gold mining has a great tradition in the Rauris Valley.

The original gold panning site Bodenhaus can be reached by car in a few minutes from the centre of Rauris.

The gold panning site is the Hüttwinkl Ache. For gold panning you need rubber boots, a spade and a gold panning pan.
