The heart of Salzburg's old town is the famous Getreidegasse.

This is where Mozart's birthplace is to be found alongside international fashion chains, historical inns and traditional businesses. The Getreidegasse gets its special flair from the beautiful house portals, the playful guild signs on the house facades as well as the through houses decorated with arcades.
