The Benedictine Abbey of Admont is the oldest existing monastery in Styria and houses a world-class cultural asset, namely the largest monastic library in the world!
For some years now, the huge library hall has been accompanied by a large museum, including a natural history museum, an art history museum and a museum of contemporary art. Since 2017, this diversity has been expanded to include a Gothic museum. The library and museum of Admont Monastery are characterised by the dialogue between tradition and innovation. Special exhibition 2021: "WE FRIEDRICH III & MAXIMILIAN I - Their World and Their Time".
The culinary offer of the Stiftskeller rounds off your overall experience at Admont Monastery.
