Almsee Filzmoos...

A jewel of nature.

The Almsee is a small mountain lake in the Hofalmen area at the head of the valley with a magnificent view of the Bischofsmütze.

A circular hiking trail leads around the lake. There are two huts for refreshments, the Oberhofalm and the Unterhofalm.

Around the Almsee, you can find some of Filzmoos' power places: The Wedding Square, the Gratitude Square, the Larch Stone and the Meeräugl Spring (on the way to the Almsee at the Bograinalm).

A ridge of high pressure will temporarily bring us calm, slightly cloudy weather on Ash Wednesday. Unfortunately from Thursday, humid yet slightly milder air will once again push into our region.
